Human accumulations can be treasures, inherited or collected.  But often, human accumulations   become a burden, filling up garages, storage units, and landfills with things no longer useful, needed or wanted.  But whenever such thoughts bother me, I remind myself that we humans are not the only ones accumulating things.  Accumulations are all around us in the natural world, seemingly created for the benefit of many participants in the web of life.  Thus, I think Nature is Nurture.

This installation shows only a fraction of common accumulations found in the natural world.  Look around to see more of them and observe how they fit into the cycle of life.
